Is your email list still the right fit for your business?

I was talking with a friend recently, a content creator who built her audience around mothers and mindfulness.

She's evolved since then. Her work now speaks to tech leaders.

But her email list? It still looks like the first version of her business.

It got me thinking about how often this happens.

We build our list around where we are at the time. A freebie, a workshop, an offer that made sense then.

And then our business grows and shifts, and we never stop to ask... are the right people still on my list for where I am today?

That's the question I want you to sit with before we start this challenge.

Starting next Tuesday, I'm sharing one email marketing strategy per week — five total — all focused on making more money and increasing profit with your email list.

Each email includes one action to try on your own list. No pressure to do all five. Just pick what resonates and see what happens.

But whether these strategies work for you depends on a few things unrelated to the tactics themselves.

So before next Tuesday, I want you to sit with these questions:

  • Who is actually on your list right now? Are they the right people for where your business is today?
  • Are you showing up consistently? Even if it's not perfect, are your subscribers hearing from you regularly?
  • Are you offering what they actually need? Not what you think they need — what they're ready for right now.
  • Do you have a plan for where you lead someone? Once they're on your list, is there a natural next step for them to take?

If you answered yes to all four, you're ready. These next five weeks are going to be useful.
